If that won't fly, maybe the food service people will let you store it in one of their refrigerators. Four cases of beer for a few hours isn't a heavy lift. Slip them a six pack or so to "take care of any problems".

We are just going to keep the beer in bags in a car parked nearby. With about 8 minutes left, they will run out, retrieve the beer, and bring it in. its only supposed to be about 35 outside that day so it should stay cold. :)

Final results:
Ice + water + salt: 5 minutes --> 35.9 degrees
Ice + water: 15 minutes --> 44 degrees

Chill them in a van (plastic garbage cans??) in the brine mix, and bring the beer inside in a duffle bag in batches as needed

This sounds like the best idea! Clearly very effective and not a lot of stuff to carry around. Even if you have to dump the ice from the Zamboni in a pile it would work great.

I have to be there at noon on Saturday and it should be over by 2:15-2:30 in the afternoon. So for 2.5 hours or so, I need to figure out a way to keep the beer cold. I have 4 cases of 24 cans of beer to keep cold, but there are some issues with this project.

First, no coolers are allowed. Mainly because security won't let them through the door. The organization will look the other way if the beer is in bags, but thats it.

Here are some ideas I had.

1. Put the beer in the freezer for 3 hours and it should stay cold until we are ready. If it freezes a little, it should thaw well before gametime.

2. Bring bags of ice in the hockey bags and use the sinks/showers to keep the beer on ice until the game starts.

3. I really don't want to spend for a waterproof bag, but thats an option as well.

Any ideas?
