So this means VZ can add one HD and four SD Channel's. Can VZ take 3 or 4 SD and bond them together to Create 1 or 2 HD Channel's ?

Blackbelt and Blue Highways were entirely useless. Youtoo was trying to be social media, but it's a mess. MAV just never got off the ground. I'm surprised at their removal though, because I figured Verizon was getting them for almost free.

Unfortunately, this would open only 1 HD channel. 4 SD's is about half of 1 HD. So Verizon would have to shift other SD's around to free that area.

Good riddance to all of these. Just a waste of space. Youtoo used to be decent when they were still ALN.

Too bad the .TV channels aren't on this list.

If they do add something I hope they start to add mainstream HD channels using MPEG4.

Got the email in Texas today. If it means they add HD I am fine with it but maybe they are just trying to collect enough to pay AMC?

Wow, now they are removing some of the local plus channels too?
Edit: I see they are all from the same station, so maybe it was a station decision?

Matcarl, you have a good point---I didn't know if that's VZ or WYBE decision. I'll try to find out from WYBE.

[WYBE also broadcasts MiND TV on broadcast channel 66.4 in NYC area. Don't know whether FiOS also carries that up there?]

Thanks,

It says Halogen will be removed from Extreme. It's probably only in Ultimate now.

Why would they be dropping channels ? To add just 1 HD channel in its place? Idk.

Are these channels at the very end of viewership, so it would make sense to remove these channels just to add one other in HD ( like H2 HD 😃 ) ? Idk.

H2 is after all , free to providers that have The History Channel, so adding it in HD makes total sense to me bc they have native HD programming on H2 now anyway.

I got off track a bit, sorry. So what will happen after they remove these channels? Addition to the HD lineup is always welcome. I guess we will just have to be patient and wait to find out. Hopefully we won't have to wait that long to find out, though.

+1 for H2 HD. H2 is what the History channel use to be before they started showing all the reality shows.....
