How about a channel dedicated to EAS in HD. That would solve that problem, lol.

That made me crack up. "All BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP, ALL THE TIME! NOW IN HD AND 5.1 SURROUND SOUND!"

What does the TV guide channel show? I can't imagine wanting to watch anything on a channel called tv guide channel, let alone caring if it is in hd. I hope that the rest of the NHL center ice hd channels are the next added. Seems pretty lame to pay that much for programming and not have everything in HD in 2013.

Hi:

I wanted to reopen this thread as I noticed this morning that Sony Movie ChannelHD, which had been available OnDemand for free for the past couple months has been removed (at least in VHO5-NY). Not sure what the reasoning is for the deletion as some speculated it could be a future addition.

Also noticed that the selection of movies available for HDNET Movies has been substantially reduced to about three.

I also noticed the same and have no clue regarding the Sony Movie channel movies being removed. However I have noticed at the beginning of the month that some ondemand librariers go low and then in a day or two get restocked with new movies for the month. That's my guess with the low number for HDNET Movies.

Personally I thought we were going to get the linear Sony Movie channel

They took channels away a month ago, and nothing was added in VH7. We don't have TVGHD, not that I really care.

Sony Movie channel on Demand is back with a full listing. However HDNET still just has 3 titles. Their webpage shows 25 Movies should be available On Demand so hopefully in the next day or 2 the full list is in the library.

That would be cool if we did get Sony Movie Channel in HD soon. Also , I wonder why we do not have TVGuide HD channel as well. Many VHOs have it, but not where I am.

I just checked again and we still do not have it back in VHO5 - NY yet but I guess its is coming. I have noticed that the loading time to get to OnDemand has increased quite a bit - I guess they must be doing some upgrading or something.

Another thread is indicating Sony has announced FIOS is getting the channel "in the spring"

No TVG-HD in VHO's 5 & 7, NY/NJ yet ....
Perhaps this week.. I though for sure by Feb 1 we'd have it ..

Yeah, no TVGuide HD yet for us in VHO5 & 7 but as Dave (a VZ employee and source of accurate info) told us it sounds like end of 1st quarter 2013, although subject to change.

It does seem ridiculous that the rest of the VZ footprint gets this and we have to wait 3-4 months longer - especially when they already took MAVHD away from us end of December so clearly they have the available QAM space.

I was told by a CSR that it is due to the hurricane damage in our areas but my brother-in-law (another VZ employee) laughed when I asked him if this was the case - he thinks its tied to contract stipulations but who knows.

It is just plain ridiculous for such a delay. I'd be screaming at VZ if it was a channel I wanted.

There was a message on my DVR today that said On Demand would be down for some time tomorrow (2/6) for maintenance.
