When I first tried Shaw VOD last year, it seemed a bit lame: limited selection with very little free, high prices per view for non-free content, and relatively poor performance compared to Netflix.
But Shaw Direct has been heavily promoting their free preview of Movie Central on VOD lately, so I thought I'd try it again to see if it has improved (Shaw Direct shares Shaw's VOD service). But all I can ever get when I click on a selection is "Loading..." forever. Does anyone know what's up with Shaw's VOD service? Is this common?
Your DCT may have a back end issue that needs to be rectified by Shaw. Call tech support and they'll probably have you up and running in no time. You'll likely need the number that appears on channel 999, in the circle.
(Essentially, the VOD functionality may be turned off due to a glitch)
