[Billing] Phone/Internet - Billing if your port out phone

I currently have FIOS Internet 15/5 @ 54.99 and basic dial-tone service with local calling for a whopping $18.89 + $11.64 in taxes!

I'm likely going to port my number to a voip provider unless retentions can offer me something reasonable.

What will happen to my FIOS Internet billing? Will it stay at 54.99, or will it change to the current rate for new customers?

Thanks!

Also, lets say you are on a triple play.
What happens when you want to drop the triple play, and keep only internet? Do you get charged the going rate for internet when you drop the triple play?

Yes, once you drop a double or triple play bundle, you get charged the current stand-alone FiOS Data rates...

Unfortunately, dealing with FiOS billing / pricing / retention is like buying a used car. You need to do alot of haggling / threatening to leave, in order to get what you want. I'd tell the analyst, "here's what i want -- how can we do this...?"

If Digital Voice is available in your area, have you considered changing over to that service? It would be cheaper than your POTS service and still keep you in a bundle.
