Bethel, CT | My update is taking inordinately long, over 1 1/2 hours in update step 1 and several minutes in step 2. This step does seem to be going a bit quicker.
So, be patient folks ...

It's a 650+MB download, so at 90 mins, your speed was around 123KB/sec or 1Mb/sec. Slow or busy internet connection?

any idea why jailbroken apple tv's fetch so much on ebay? im seriously thinking of buying a bunch and just doing the jailbreak. i jailbroke one of mine but had no use for it. just wondering because it was so ridiculously easy to do. did a new version of AppleTV render JBs more difficult?

I do not believe there is a jailbreak for the latest ATV - the version that does 1080p. Maybe that's it.
I have an ATV 2. I couldn't care less about jailbreaking. Maybe I should JB, sell it and it'll pay for two or three new ATV3s.
