WoL subs are guild bound, and the 3 month unlimited sub I had gotten for cig's guild had or was going to expire very soon.

So any one in Pride and Ego can benefit from the sub.

I don't recall all the advantages but one is they'll keep the logs available indefinitely. (IE even longer than premium)

Unless the trash in the other room had an ability called "Detect Hunter", with a range of 97 yards, I did not pull aggro. My guess is that the guy who ACTUALLY pulled, is the one who accused me. Gotta love the LFR herd mentality.

During the Blade Lord fight, one of the priests (I was on my druid, and there were 5 priests) life-gripped the target of Unseen Strike once the raid stacked on him so that the target would die by themselves. It was our top healer! thankfully, he was a shaman and just rezzed himself and kept on crushing the meters. But I was in a mood last night, so once the boss went down and the rezzes were going out... I pulled up WoL and started hunting. I opened the "deaths overview" and saw the shaman's name. moused over his name and clicked "see more"... it opens a new window that shows the last 25 sec. before his death... there it was... "Rohan cast Leap of Faith on..." We got him kicked right before the tanks pulled Garalon. WoL is awesome. That is all.

no idea, only 1/4 mi i've ever run was amost 8 years ago on my first bike, sv650s, it was 12.08s at 108.4 mph. on the duc I'd have issues keeping the front tire down in any gear below 4th. havent run the camaro; only challenge i've taken on in it is driving between augusta ga, and nashville, tn on a single tank of gas. now thats a feat of strength with the 6.2L.

after some research is seems 155mph is the fastes my car will currently go : /

Go into the "expression editor" and you can literally see everything that happened in an encounter, then you can build a query to only show what you need to see, I.e. player X's crits on target y. Or player X's damaging spells on add z. It's an awesome tool. The coding is awkward, but once you learn your way around it, it's where you'll find the real nuances in someone's style, or discover that minute detail to boost your dps tha extra half a percent.

I also learned that most of the best single target fight hunters were using a different talent than I was. Other than that, my logs weren't bad, I was doing most of the rest right - so with those minor tweaks and the kind of gear they have, I should be able to do a lot better :P

If you can think of something to track or look deeper into, you can. You can figure out exactly what spells someone used for a clue into rotation.

Learn how to do those and find a top player of your class and you'll benefit dramatically.

Kind of like when I get in my car push the clutch and turn the key, it starts. I don't really care to know about air/fuel ratios, spark plug gaps, or internal combustion, as long as my shit works. Now, when it doesn't and I call Otto to come tow it to his garage for repair, I want him to explain the issue to me. More for reassurance that he knows what he's doing than for a thirst for knowledge.

WoL is mostly a pain in the ass, and rightfully so, it's an intricate and insanely complex program that I know is too much so for me to be a subject matter expert in without first suffering a ton of headaches. Why do you think people always forget to turn on or off their logs? Because its mainly a hassle to those who are selected or chose to log for the betterment of the group. I promise most people would be more than happy to cut out the extra steps and let the thing work by itself, without having to deal with */combatlog* or 50000 lines of text they're expected to upload after the raid when others are doing whatever they want.

This is just one of those things that "just works" and that enough explanation for me at this point, and is better left that way. I feel I know just enough about it to really frustrate myself.

I think the easiest way would be restrict the WoL data to own data, and dots when phased

then merge a set with one from each player.
Though might have to just toss the dots that ticked while you were out out the window.

Live logging will auto-upload your info to WoL in real time for instant results/analysis. No typing slash commands or fumbling around with 87 billion .txt files in your log folder. I can stream radio while I raid, shouldn't I be able to stream my logs, too?

Step 4. (optional) Slay bodies, loot purples, and brag about top 200 rankings.

The point of most of the phased portions that I can think of right now is to make them as short as possible.

To put it in slightly more detail: Since everybody's computer clock is not exactly in sync, and there is no GUID that is server wide (only specific client wide) for an event, the best you can do is guess as to which events go where in a merged combat log. The WoL creators have decided that the risks of messing it up are not worth the slight gain.

like WoL but anytime you are in a diff phase than the "master" addon your addon starts and when you return your addon could send data to the "master"

however there are times when no one is in the spirit world so those ticks would not be recorded even then.

The log will not record those dot ticks though. Never been entirely sure why the log gets all phased, but I'm sure that was a technical decision made ages ago.

WoL parses everything that WoW writes to the combat log. But sadly WoW doesn't write any data about players in other phases, e.g. the spirit realm. So to answer your question: Yes, for the Spiritbinder fight only your own data will be complete. Or maybe even your own data is not complete, I don't know how WoW handles things like DoTs that are still ticking on the boss when you switch phases.

No, there is no way to combine multiple logs.
Other sites tried that before but never got it completely working.

On most fights

I think it might have issues with fights where people get out of combat log range or are phased.

if they're to far (IE Sha or Fear) or phased (Spirit binder) I doubt it remains accurate for any but the one running it on those fights.

I know this affects Recount and Skada... but is this really a limitation faced by the WoW client?

also, Skada calculations are closer to WoL calculations where DPS(e) is concerned. So, if you are using Recount in-game, you might feel like WoL is short-changing your dps... it isn't.
