Re: Just signed up for 3Mbit service, MA Verizon territory It just turned Dec. 1st on the east coast. Still cannot login. I'm guessing I have to wait for their computers, because they are on Cali time?
Edit: After perusing the DSLEx pages more, even though in my account summary my username is listed simply, on the connection page, it showed me that I have to use username@dslextreme.net in my PPPoE login details. Once I did that, I was able to connect.
Strangely, after that, going to dslreports.com brought me to activate.verizon.net every time. Yet I could open plenty of other sites without interference. I could also AIM and Skype no problem.
Anyways, after doing an IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS (which didn't do much), then I tried going to dslreports.com in IE rather than Waterfox, and it worked, so then I closed Waterfox and re-opened it, and then I was getting 404 errors. So I cleared my dslreports.com cookies, and finally, it seems like everything is working. | | |
| dslx_nickPremium join:2011-12-24 Chatsworth, CA kudos:16 | Oh, yeah. Sorry, I probably should've mentioned. On our website itself (dslextreme.com) we KNOW you're going to be @dslextreme.com (since you literally ARE at dslextreme.com), but anywhere else on the internet (including your PPPoE credentials) you're going to need to provide the @dslextreme.com. So if you're using Outlook or another mail client, for example, make sure to include the @dslextreme.com in your account username... newsgroups, make sure to include @dslextreme.com, etc. | |
