 | No speed upgrade yet? Just wondering if anyone hasn't received the proper December 1st speed upgrade yet?
I'm on the Extreme package. My download has been increased, but my upload is still a little less than 1Mbps (should be 3Mbps)... anyone else? |

Perhaps you should reboot your cable modem --- remove the power cable from the cable modem, wait 2 min then reinsert the power cable into the cable modem and wait 5 minutes. Make sure to clear your browser cash then test your speed again. |

 | I've got the same problem too. Rebooting modem doesn't help. I wonder if they are behind schedule with the upgrades? Grrr! |

 | reply to Joe1419 Last night around 3am my connection was dropping and coming back a few times, leaving me with the new speeds. Well, half the new speeds, my upload max for far is 1.81 out of a proposed 4Mbps. Slightly disappointed. Should probably mention, i'm Ottawa east. Cheers. |

 | reply to Joe1419 Yeah I've rebooted, cleared cache, tried many different speed tests... all nothing.
I guess I'll be calling Rogers today! |

 | reply to Joe1419 I'm on express and got my speed increase about two weeks ago |

 | reply to Joe1419 Which modems are you using, folks - either the old Motorola Surfboard modems or the Cisco DPC3825s (configured in Bridge Mode)? |
|
 | reply to Joe1419 I've got the SMC which should be good for the 3Mb upload. I'm at the upload speed I've always had, 0.9Mb. Download increased to a steady 35Mb so it's strange that only half my bandwidth has been upgraded.
As usual tech support is useless. Their reply is that everything looks fine and try again in a couple of hours... um, yeah we'll see |

skut join:2001-11-09 Ajax, ON | reply to Joe1419 Mine went up a few days ago in the Ajax area. U/L tops out now at about 2.83 mbits. So did the DL speed, to anywhere between 75 and 107 mbits/sec. I expect that they will throttle the DL speed back down where its supposed to be shortly. Hang on a bit longer, I am sure they will get to you. |

Cosmok join:2010-03-31 Ottawa, ON | I have Ultimate in South Ottawa. A few nights ago my download speeds increased to 150Mbps but my upload speed is still 2Mpbs. I need the faster upload speeds because I do video work. Bell now offers 10Mbps up on all but their cheapest package. |

Cosmok join:2010-03-31 Ottawa, ON | I just used the online customer service chat to try and get the faster upload speeds on my Ultimate package. I was told it is not available to me. "It is not on the list of services available to you." She had no idea when it would be available.
It is funny because when I asked them earlier they tried to sell it to me for the new price of $122.99.
As it stands now I just can't get faster upload speeds even if I want to pay more. |

1 edit | reply to Joe1419 No speed increase yet here in New Brunswick. I am however thinking about downgrading from the ultimate package to extreme to get a larger cap and higher upload |

 | reply to Joe1419 Finally got mine today. They must have been behind schedule I guess! |

 | reply to Cosmok Yes it ridiculous to have 150Mb/2Mb... why can't Ultimate have it's upgrade yet? Are the lower tiers getting the 4Mb even in areas where ultimate can't get 10? |

Are the lower tiers getting the 4Mb even in areas where ultimate can't get 10? As far as I can tell that is the case. All the speed tests I've seen on these forums from the K/W area have the 2, 3 and 4 Mb uploads as well as strong downloads.
Meanwhile on my $99 "ultimate",

JAC70 join:2008-10-20 canada | reply to morpheus69 How is 150/2 even possible? Shouldn't the ratio of packets to acks be 37.5 to 1 (1500/40)? This would suggest a minimum upstream of 4Mbps. |

Are the lower tiers getting the 4Mb even in areas where ultimate can't get 10? Yep. I was on 75/2 and planned on upgrading to 150/10, but since it's not available in my area I went to 45/4 instead. |
