I tried to install Avira Prem AV 2013 on Win 8 and it warned me it is not yet compatible. They say they're "working on it." How late can you be? So lame.

Well the ideal AV software would

• Cost nothing.
• Find and protect against 100% of all malware.
• Have no overhead.
• Be completely unobtrusive.

Since that's impossible, and to some degree dependent on the user, one must decide what they're willing to trade.

In the engineering world you'll hear the expression. "Time, cost, quality--pick two as you can't have all three". It's the same idea with any AV software.
