Re: I think my signals are a little out of wack

With D3, the operational range on the upstream has changed. I will see if I can find an updated slide for you. Their recommended specs are different than whats illustrated.

No worries beach. I knew that it was a bit dated but the width of the ranges makes it still fairly kind of valid. Don't trouble yourself about a more current slide, I don't need it but thanks anyway !!

With upstream bonding, I'd think you want upstream to be in the 40-45 range.

Under 50 you are usually ok.

[Downstream levels] They need to be tight to each other, 1db variance. The upstream is what really needs to be tighter, as well as SNR.

While the »Comcast High Speed Internet FAQ »What should my Signal Levels be? page shows it was just modified on "2012-11-28," it still looks like the info on there doesn't reflect the latest recommendations for bonded multi-channel DOCSIS 3.0 operation.

I also do not see a downstream, channel-to-channel, level variance spec provided on that page.

Maybe someone ( Johkal See Profile, beachintech See Profile ?) can update it [before it has to be updated once again for DOCSIS 3.1 ] to the "latest and greatest"?

As always, the FAQ can only be updated when verified specs. are provided. Posts are subjective without empirical proof.

Then maybe you and beachintech See Profile should get together!

As soon as I get official/validated specs. from whomever, I will update the FAQ. Anyone who can substantiate new specs. is welcome to either submit a FAQ change for review or IM me direct.

I know in my area when my upstream hit 50 I started having issues. Not sure if that would be any help though. LoL

Actual/former techs are shunned around here. I gave up long ago.
