Google Chrome

Been starting to use Chrome more and more now since FireFox seems to be acting up on me when visiting DSLR and other sites, plus its just plain quicker.

Anyhow, I noticed that in Chrome Youtube posts in the forum only shows a link and not the preview or ability to play the embedded video within the post. Is that a quirk with Chrome? or am I missing something?

Been wanting to get Chrome to look and work more like my FF, I miss the bottom toolbar where I have Forecastfox 5 day forecast. Instead everything is bunched up in the top right tool bar. Also wished I could move the tabs below the address bar.

Anyone know some tricks or sites that have Chrome stuff they like?

Wanna bet they are somehow Google?

Maybe a little (no much) more altruistic, but Google's effort to be all controlling Apple since they have pretty much had to give away Android, still want their own little world.

I have toyed with it a little on Android and PC but really don't see any real attraction to it as being unique.

Maybe diferent as the native OS?

Note that Chrome has it's own built-in Flash player. I am having a ton of trouble with it on my wife's Win7 PC. The Flash videos will play, but the sound is just a muted muffled bass sound. The same videos play just fine with MSIE. I have posted some messages in Google Chrome support groups, where I see that many users are having similar problems over a period of a year or longer.

On my win7 I was getting double audios... To resolve it. I deleted all the cookies and temp files. Than, I uninstalled chrome and cleaned all the traces using CCleaner. Reinstalled it and not had an issue ever since.

Alright, let's break down your post and see if we can figure this out.

Who is 'they'? The original question was "Anyone know some tricks or sites that have Chrome stuff they like?" Are you referring to the tricks, sites, or the people he is asking for opinions from? Either way it doesn't make any sense.

Google is being more altruistic by... what? Offering Chrome? But at the same time they are trying to be all-controlling like Apple by giving away Android. Weren't we talking about Chrome?

If you're saying Google is trying to monopolize the browser market, I don't know why you're talking about Android. Android has its own native browser and Chrome doesn't even come pre-installed.

Now you're on topic and offering an opinion about Chrome; this should have been your whole post. The last sentence is kind of cryptic, but I can infer that you're talking about Chromium. I'm still lost with the rest of your post though.

What did you not get about Google with Chrome wants to be another Crapple? vs Android that got away from them.

I have seen even here reports of "bugs" that no problem with even bug ridden IE or open source FF... but somehow not Google/Chromes fault but is BBR's?.

Just to be fair... I do not get any of the posts either. I use both Mac/PC and browse on both using Chrome. Chrome is set on both as default browser as I think is a better browser of choice. So, I am not quite sure how OS X, Chromimum, and Win7 have to do with OP's issue?

So I gather you don't see the issues and maybe a user install issue or again over a broader segment the issue is Chrome not the sites or browsers.

Because saying its BBR problem though no other (including their other two long established browser) aren't seeing it so it must be BBR not Chrome or their own local problem.

you would be wrong as the same effect has been shown up on FF on win7 and OSX many times. The resolution is the same. The issue maybe due to a bad cookie of some sort.

What? You're just stringing together words, now.

That's all he ever does in any post. Kind of like Daymon Wayans back in the day on "In Living Color".

Hi,
I am agreeing with Da Geek Kid, I am using Chrome in Win-7 and never got any audio or video issues on Youtube or other sites. Instead of, I feel that the speed is fantastic and security issues are fine.
Maybe there are different issues or reason of the audio problem in your system.

Well say what ever you want....

But they let Android totally get away from them....

Chrome is their attempt to be an Apple'ish closed environment IMHO, not be as get go draconian maybe... but they are not launching Chrome altruistically like Android was... but few years down the road I'll be able to say told you so as I have been able to across many of the boards and topics here people at time said something no way or will never happen, but absolutely did a few years latter.

Another prediction they are successful with Chrome, they will abandon Android and leave it to the Linux community to play with... and it will become a world of Apple, Chrome, and MS tightly controlled phones/tabs mainstream.

If none of you can see that, you really have your blinders on.

I can point you to hundreds of reports in the Google Chrome Support groups. Let me know if you want the fire hose turned on.
