 | [WildBlue] Am I the only one I live in Rural Texas. 20 miles to the nearest paved road. recently got my Wild Blue upgraded to exede. Installer came out, took down the old equipment put up the new. Left the old equipment sitting in a pile by the gate. I asked him to take it. He said it was trash, just throw it away and would not take it with him. Now a month later I get a bill from Wild Blue for 400 dollars in penalties and charges for not turning in the obsolete equipment. Does anyone else see the crooked side of this? Has this happened to anyone else? I still have the equipment sitting right where the installer left it |

wm4bama join:2012-05-10 Goodwater, AL | reply to bigbird Wildblue is supposed to send you a pre-paid shipping box for you to return the Tria, Modem and power cord...
That's all they want back...the rest is junk to them...you can make a bird bath out of the old dish...☺☺☺ -- Exede12, ViaSat-1, beam 342, Albuquerque Gateway, Denver AcceleNet servers |

 | reply to bigbird Bigbird, you should first determine whether you own or leased the equipment. Wildblue/Exede has a history of assuming that the customer leased the equipment even though he owns it. Customers who signed up back in 2005 and 2006 (I do not remember the date when they switched from selling to leasing the equipment) purchased the equipment and are not required to return the modem and TRIA.
If you leased the equipment, you might be able to get a refund if you return it. Call customer service and complain that they did not provide you with a pre-paid shipping box. |
