Re: [Cable] Should I get the Motorola SB6120 at this point? (28m

Hi There,

It is on our list of approved modems, however, neither us or Rogers will push upgrades on it, so if they upgrade the firmware on the Motorola it is a self support option.

Elizabeth, I understand it will be self support if Motorola decides to upgrade firmware but is the firmware 1.0.6.1 relatively new firmware?

How often do Motorola upgrade their firmware? Thank you for your assistance.

motorola doesn't give you the update you have to get it from rogers but they don't want to give it to anyone anymore

With all due respect, even if a customer buys the DCM 476 from you, if there is a firmware issue they dont update it either...

I know that you guys have been replacing peoples modems under warranty, but how much is that costing you... Its a crazy thing that you still havent worked it out with Rogers to send firmware to the modems... They can do it, they did it to the SB6120's.
