I don't know anyone there with short wave, that is quite an idea though. Hopefully if this is bad, the news will report to us. The Philippines is a very close relative of the USA, they used to BE a part of the USA. The people there are very much into USA things and speak English as a second language. Even those that can afford it watch USA cable channels.

She lives only a quarter mile from the Ocean, that's what worries me. I begged her to go up into the mountains somehow and she says the problem with that is the trees falling and hitting her.
