 | So I hit 90. Now what? First off, a HUGE thank you to Immer, Skylara, and Sanctisimo for the gear tsunami they hit me with last night. I don't even know how much time/gold you saved me.
Now to my question. Whats the logical progression path? I currently have the ilvl to run heroics. I leveled entirely through LFD, so most of Pandaria is still untouched and unexplored.
I've heard different things. Some people have said that you need to grind rep with various factions? Others say skip that and use JP to upgrade ilvl 464 heroic gear.
My goal is to be able to tank LFR, and maybe, possibly, be a back up tank for regular raiding.
Where do I spend my JP? I'm guessing somewhere in Pandaria that I havn't discovered yet? What level gear does JP buy?
Basically, what should I do next? |

| • Start with Golden Lotus (GL) dailies in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms • Tillers dailies in Halfill (Valley of the Four Winds) and work on your cooking/farm. • Grind out 1 Scenario and a bunch of Heroics daily.
These 3 things you do until you can get into LFR. Once you can get into LFR, are revered with GL and can cook yourself your primary food (for +300 of a stat), you should only do whatever you find interests you the most. -- Guild leader of Pride and Ego (US:Nathrezim) Good times with Great people in the Best way to spend $15/mo.

open the Vale, Townlong Steppes... et al.
time to see the content and know what we're fighting for. there's many a great story line to read and enjoy not that you aren't running to 90 and the only gear upgrades you will find will come from heroics/scenario's/raiding.
I hear Arms is out dpsing fury atm; so I may see a 463 ilvl axe coming your way -- For Rogues, by Rogues, to be used at the Rogue drive through when you order a side-order of Rogue. |

 | reply to Immer Ok, so accrue valor until I can do LFR? Why only 1 scenario a day? What do the GL dailies afford me?
My cooking is at 591. As a tank Ive focused on way of the oven, which is stamina food. I dont think there is a "way of the mastery category"? |

My cooking is at 591. As a tank Ive focused on way of the oven, which is stamina food. I dont think there is a "way of the mastery category"? I only recommend the one scenario because of how much VP you get for that first run. When you look at how long some of them can be, you're better off running heroics for the valor+better chance at 463 gear. GL gives you access to 476 crafting patterns for your BS at Honored, 489 valor gear (shoulders is what I usually look forward to). But doing the dailies also allows you to get enough coins to get yourself 3 extra shots at loot per week from a raid boss (LFR, Normal raid, or World boss). It will also keep the gold flowing, and there is an off chance at getting other world drops. No need to wildly grind out all reps at once... that's the highway to burnoutville.
Oven is all you need to focus on for your tanking. If you think you'd like to work more on your dps OS, then I'd add Grill (STR) to your efforts. -- Guild leader of Pride and Ego (US:Nathrezim) Good times with Great people in the Best way to spend $15/mo.

Carpie join:2012-10-19 united state kudos:1 | reply to Pollux7777 I completely agree with Venom. You're starting at book at the last chapter. If you completely leveled through dungeons to get to 90, my opinion is you've missed the whole game. The enjoyment isn't in the destination, it's in the journey. |

btw, Stouty has demonstrated some nice skillz at warrior tanking. Can't wait to see him get geared up... so my excitement might have run away with me in these posts, lol. |

 | reply to Carpie Oh I fully intend to explore all the zones and do the quests! I really enjoy questing. But I deliberately held off until 90 because I rolled a fresh toon on that server. Which means no goldz, bags, or anything. I needed the extra gold questing gives at 90, instead of reduced gold and XP. |
|
 | reply to Immer Thanks for the compliment Immer. It's funny, when we qued up last night for that heroic, and right off the bat all those adds were getting away from me (I realized about 5 minutes later that I was in battle stance, lol) I was like, "Oh no these guys just dumped all this gear on me and they're going to think I'm terrible!" |

Venom1 join:2011-10-21 Augusta, GA | or healed in dps gear or tanked with dps glyphs cuz this is the tenth time you've switched what you do on the second spec and you forgot to mention the "teleports you to stormwind/orgrimmar" cloak -- For Rogues, by Rogues, to be used at the Rogue drive through when you order a side-order of Rogue. |

 | reply to Immer said by Immer:haha... no worries. We've all done it... tanked in dps spec or gear or stance... or with a fishing pole/hat equipped. Reminds me of the first time I did the Theramore's Fall scenario (pre-MoP release version). I was tanking on my death knight. My wife was on her hunter, and my wife's sister was healing on her druid. I've got about 3 mobs on me at one of the docks, my wife loses control of her pet (as usual), and suddenly it's about 7 mobs plus one of the mini-bosses. I start popping CD's, and somehow we make it through... I think my HP was below 10% for about 3/4 of the fight. ... Afterwards, my wife's sister says, "HOLY CRAP, I'M STILL WIELDING MY FISHING POLE!" Much LOL was had by all. Especially when she realized she was still spec'd as balance instead of resto. |
