Thanks for the tutorial. The author has a couple of good books on Layers in PS, as well. I tend to use »www.pixelgenius.com/sharpener/ for sharpening, and the site will allow you to have a look at and download the manual. I've been using it for a couple of years, and like the ease with which you can sharpen specific areas, as well as sharpen globally.
