Re: 12 Dells: Days of (supposed) Deals - Dec 3 2012

$10+tx for a 6-foot HDMi cable is generally speaking a bad deal. The free shipping is the only thing worth considering, because Monoprice charges $3.50 USD for the same thing (less if more than one).

Compare the price of buying three of them in Quebec:

Dell: $10 * 3 = $30 * 1.14975 = $34.49 CAD
Monoprice: $3.37 USD * 3 = $10.11 USD + $8.60 USD (shipping) = $18.71 USD

So, is the Dell HDMI cable a good value? For three, Monoprice is half the price.

To compare for a single cable:

Monoprice: $3.50 USD + $5.01 USD (shipping) = $8.51 USD
Dell: $10 * 1.14975 = $11.50

tl;dr: Dell price is a ripoff, Monoprice is cheaper in all cases even considering shipping.

Too funny. After all that hard work and mathematical computations. Fixed it for ya, as the number seems to escape attention.
