| [INTERNET] ARRIS TG862G wifi enabled won't connect to xbox360s I just updated my service from Turbo 14 to Ultimate 30 and am disappointed as my xbox 360 slim with Kinect does not connect to wifi.
All other devices in my house connect to wifi - laptops, android tablet, ipod touch, ipad, blackberry phones etc. but not the xbox 360s. When I called support the initial comment was that cogeco doesn't support xbox 360. No but you supplied me with an N router that won't connect. One suggestion was to set the channel to 4, 5 or 6... but beyond that I was on my own.
What are my options besides going back to my original configuration?  |

The XBox 360 Slim has had a number of reported issues connecting to Routers that are running WPA2, the default security used by Cogeco's WiFi (Just Google "xbox 360 slim WPA2").
You can drop the Router's security down to WPA and the XBox will connect. Please do NOT drop down to WEP, it is not a viable encryption/security solution. |
