Folsom, CA | [WIN8] Clock and Battery on Start Screen Anybody know if there is a hack to somehow get the clock and battery status on the Win8 Metro Start page?
Only way right now is to open the Charms tab, or go to desktop mode. You can get a clock app with a Live Tile, but it seems silly to not have the clock and battery status on the top of the start page.

Columbus, OH | I'm actually interested in hearing about this as well. Now that you mention it, it does seem a bit off that these displays are not on the main start screen yet clearly visible on the desktop, that of which they are trying to ignore or get rid of. |

"the way" to add that is using tiles. There are a bunch of clock tiles. Pick one.
As for battery, I don't see any tiles for that in the store - no doubt one will show up eventually.

Hey, I didn't design it. It just is what it is. How often do you need to check the battery? Or the clock?

I use my computer as my clock most times. It just seems like a silly thing to not include.

The start screen is the start menu, if you use the lock screen you will find it has the time on it, it might also have the battery but i am using a desktop so no battery here. |
