Middle Island, NY | Purple Lotus is in Felwood, usually around any of the ruins. You can also get it as a drop in Maraudon and Dire Maul.

Aurora, CO | Felwood is a great place to herb. You'll get your purple lotus and gromsblood.
Also second the wow-professions site, though it is set up to get you from 1 to max level as quickly as possible, so if you're wanting a crafted item or potion/flask for leveling you'll want extra of those mats. |
