Windows 8 rebooting

I have self built desktop. The mother board is a Asus p8z68-v lx. The cpu is Intel 2.9 quad core and 16Gb 16000 ram. It been running good until 3 days ago. Last week I installed 2 sticks of CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 1600 ram. Yesterday I added another 128Gb ssd drive with new sata cables. I also installed a 6Gb sata PCIe controller card. Since I added the new parts It will reboot it self. What could be the problem and are a log file that tell s what happen?

You could check event viewer for a clue as to what caused the problem, or you could disable automatic restart, so that it hangs on the error instead of rebooting.

You could also run a few passes with memtest to see if you have some bad memory. But I would bet your problem is tied to the PCIe controller card drivers.

It may not be the card itself, just the drivers. I've run into a lot of trouble with them, particularly when you are using them in addition to the onboard controller. You might try a few different versions of the drivers and see how it goes.

You might be right about the card. I got some different drivers for the card and now it seems to work better now. I will know tomorrow for sure.
