Re: Network Naming Scheme

Easy, I name them after Pokemon.

The best part about that is I can have my DHCP server assign IP addresses that correspond to the Pokemon IDs.

eg:
Venusaur -> 192.168.5.3

You're either just a kid (relatively speaking), or you have WAY to much interest in Pokemon.

I name most of the computers after Star Wars characters.
Yoda - WHS
Skywalker - My laptop
Leia - Wife's laptop
Vader - Kids laptop
Jabba and Solo - HTPCs
R2D2 & C3P0 - Mobile phones

I probably should change our printer's name to DotMatrix in homage to Spaceballs, but it's always just been the model MX700.

I'm 27, I just wanted a naming scheme that nobody in their right mind would ever want to use

Medical Conditions or STDs / STIs?

[you]"Oh, I have to go get Herpes now..."

[your roommate]WTF?!

[you]"My laptop.... Then I have to connect to AIDS!"

[your roommate] WTF?! pt 2

Make a heckuva conversation opener.

Regards
