Error that I get while troubleshooting the connection on laptop |
|
I read on the FAQs and other threads that a MoCA network is possible. I learned that there are 2 MoCA networks possible LAN MoCA and WAN MoCA. WAN MoCA is between ONT and the Actiontec Router.
I installed a DLink DXN-220 MoCA adapter as in the diagram. Below are the issues I am running into...
MoCA password in DLink
1. Actiontec is ON (gives wireless internet), DLink is ON but dont give the internet. (See Pic)
2. Actiontec is OFF, DLink is ON and gives the internet. (when actiontec turns on DLink stop giving internet)
NO MoCA password in DLink
1. Actiontec is ON (gives wireless internet), DLink is ON and gives the internet. (At this time I connect Linksys WRT54G wireless router to DLink and it works as a separate wireless router with separate SSID) UPDATE- Linksys works but I put 192.168.0.1 it dont work and when I put 192.168.1.1 it works and login to Verizon's Actiontec router)
2. Actiontec is OFF (obviously no wireless inter), DLink is ON and gives no internet.
So, what I trying to do is to add a separate wireless router (to connect to my laptop while on bed) on the DLink with different SSID + I can hook up my TV and XBox via wire.
I want this to work even when Actiontec router is either OFF or ON. Any help how can we do this!!!!!
