I've been using it for a bit now, if you're a fan of the Swype style, this takes it up a level....I'm really liking it. |

of course swipe is included on the Sprint GS3 Yup...but I think this is a lot more polished, smoother feel, with more features than Swype provides, imo. (The never having to take your finger off the screen thing is pretty cool)
I've used quite a few keyboards, and prior to this, there are pieces of a few different keyboards that I wish I could piece together.
The best I've found are Swype, SlideIT, and SwiftKey (for straight "normal" text entry).
I like how Swype has the feature of, should you put in a word you want to change, but a good bit back in your text, you can press the word, then hit the Swype button, and it will select / highlight the word, but also give you all of the possibilities of what you typed as well. So you can either select from the list, or retype and not have to worry about cursor placement.
I do like that the original Swiftkey (well, SK3) had the arrows , but was deep in a menu, the new Flow actually does a nice job of placing them on the facing screen, below the keyboard.
Another great thing for Flow is that they included the voice to text button. SlideIt uses this, and I love it for when I'm in the car...I have no idea why Swype left it off...it's extremely helpful.
Anyway, so far as I can see, Flow has all the little bells and whistles I like...voice to text button, long press smiley menu, nice use of gesturing for punctuation (see the tutorial videos), the number screen is laid out well, easy access to the setup menus, and just very well polished, just as SK3 was.
The only thing it doesn't have , is the text selection thing I mentioned earlier with Swype, but with the arrow keys, you're able to position the cursor where you want, so you only need to press the word and get close, then use the arrow keys for exact cursor placement. It still provides the alternative word selection, so this is more of a user preference, I think, as the same desired effect is arrived in an equally easy fashion. -- I am only one, but I am one. | reply to Koil What do you mean by the voice to text option? The voice dictation thing? If so, then Swype most definitely has that, and it's right there on the keyboard. It uses Dragon. said by Koil:Maybe I'm missing it...where? That is really strange. I've always had the speech to text button on Swype, but don't see it on yours.
It actually works quite nicely in the latest version. I hadn't used it in quite some time because it wasn't that good, and then I tried it again a few days ago. It's much better than it was a year or two ago.

The version I'm running is 1.2.3.8848.
I checked settings and everything, don't see an option for it or anything.
Weird. |

Weird. you need to download it from swypes website, they went the OEM provider route, instead of the google play route for money |
|
 | Even on the OEM route like I have on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, it shows a microphone button for the speech to text.
On my rooted Galaxy Nexus, it shows the Dragon logo (the flame), like Sandman5 is showing in his pic.
Go through the setting and customize menus and see if you can enable it from there. I think at one point I recall seeing an option to have it show or not show on the keyboard. -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo |

| reply to Koil I don't have it either on my ATT GS3. It's very annoying and I went back to the crappy Samsung swiping keyboard. Maybe Swiftkey will be the answer. -- How nice. This country is being run by a broken record repeating the same two words over and over. Cretin. |
