thats "heat pressed" to the display panel.
not exactly very easy to redo that with heat unless there is a replacement fresh ribbon and you have the correct tool to perform the task.
the same tool that was used to fix the old beepers could be used here and it would work without a replacement ribbon but its not likely going to last very long.
for a short time, i was "rebuilding" display panels but many of them would fail within 30 days since just applying heat to the surface ribbon would only create a temporary fix anyway.
