As long as they build them with enough internal memory, it isn't an issue.

My original Droid came with a slot pre-filled with a 16GB card.

My Galaxy Nexus doesn't have a slot, but came with 32GB internal memory.

Can't say I've missed the memory slot one bit.

IMO just ditch any built in memory and use a micro-sd card in its place.

w/ a second slot available.

My nexus 1 is near the limit of built in storage because some files just won't go to the SD card.
