RobNycPremium join:2002-03-06 New York, NY | [OS X] Mail App I have my gmail accounts in Mail app using imap settings. But one issue I've been noticing, any changes I do while at work (gmail.com) delete mostly I do not see those changes taking effect once I get home and open up iMail. |

| do the messages stay in the mailbox they were in before you deleted them? Are you sure you aren't looking at the all mail folder and aren't actually archiving them?
What if you wait a few minutes after firing up mail for it to sync with the server? -- -Ryan I use Linux, OS X, iOS and Windows. Let the OS wars die. |

RobNycPremium join:2002-03-06 New York, NY | reply to RobNyc I thought iMap settings by default should sync? If I delete an email in iMail it should delete it in Gmail as well, I thought.
Going thru my gmail and I see all the groupons email still there when I deleted them in my iMail. this is frustrating |

kitsune join:2001-11-26 Sacramento, CA | reply to RobNyc Are you seeing them in the "All Mail" folder? google by default doesn't completely delete your email when you delete it from a client like the Mail.app. If you are only seeing the messages in the all mail folder then it is syncing properly and you will want to change settings at google.com so that either all mail doesn't show in IMAP or that deleting mail actually deletes it instead of archiving it. |

I did a search for groupon on gmail.com to find my tracking info and when I thought I was only going to see 2 or 3 emails, I found the whole collection of groupon since a few months ago basically stored as old mail |

kitsune join:2001-11-26 Sacramento, CA | reply to RobNyc If you go to the gmail website and go to settings. Under "Labels" you will see all your folders and can control whether they sync with IMAP. I would suggest disabling All Mail it just creates confusion. Also under "Forward and IMAP/POP" there is the controls for how it handles deleting emails. |

When I get home from work and open iMail i see them Unread |
