 | If a FIOS line breaks coming into the house, is it free fix? Let's say a tree falls on the FIOS line coming into a house.
Does Verizon charge anything to come out & replace the line? Either a fee for the line or a service charge to come out & do it? ...or any other charge for that matter?
PS: Just curious. All is well here. |

 | I cut my FiOS cable with an hoe when digging around in the yard. Verizon came out and spliced it at no charge. The tech wanted to reinstall the cable in conduit, but that would have required me to have another service call for the conduit installation. It was a freak accident in the first place and I didn't expect to be digging up the cable again in my future; so I just accepted the burried splice. |

 | reply to jackpearson Most likely no charge. But technically the one responsible for the tree trimming is liable for the damages |

They should replace them at no charge for accidental damage. If there were willful negligence or downright sabotage involved, they could go after the person(s) responsible. They also might charge if there were an inordinate number of replacements or nuisance calls in a short period of time.
Any cabling/wiring on the customer side of the ONT would be the customer's responsibility. -- Never raise your hands to your kids. It leaves your groin unprotected. -- Red Buttons |
