TWC outage in NYC

My neighbors and I are having issues in TWC in NYC. I've been on the phone with support (completely useless) and 3rd level engineers (more helpful, says there is a service issue).

My Internet was down for about 20 minutes today, in 10012. The light on my Airport Extreme remained green but devices said I wasn't connected. So I tweeted @TWCable_Help. No response but connectivity returned a few minutes later. I suspect someone at Time Warner was aware of the problem.

Right now I'm trying to fetch some data, on my desktop, and it's taking forever. Hope this isn't an ongoing issue.

I've been having severe packet loss for almost a month now in upper west side. Visits from tech to re-wire and 3rd tier support haven't fixed anything.

I've already contacted Verizon as I refuse to pay this much for something that has brought this much frustration. If Verizon's DSL service is more stable (although I understand it's a lot slower), I'll switch to them.

I'm having similar issues in 10040, Inwood / Washington Heights. It's horrible, most hops are 15 - 100% packet loss.

Yes it's definitely going up and down. I'm trying to get some work done so this is really annoying.
