Re: [Voip.ms] Cant answer incoming calls

i think it fixed it - it was a faulty power source.
It was using a generic one as I had lost both power sources.
explains why i had the same problem with both ATA's and also why a standalone phone was a lot worse with incoming calls than my cordless.
the old linksys and d-link ata's are very picky about their voltage parameters and even if your off by.5A (which I was) they seem to mess up
iv tried it for over an hour now and its good as gold - well except for incoming CID failing sometimes - which is not that bothersome
thanks everyone for all the help and patience with my questions

Thanks for followup.

Power source, who woulda thunk?!

A good lesson for us all.

Caller ID on a Linksys sometimes can be from arcane issues too.

CID issues may be related to your ATA's ring waveform and voltage settings. I got all my issues straightened out when I set my PAP2T to 86 volts, 20 Hz sinusoid. All the phones work with that for me.

unfortunately i have the pap2v2 with 1.00.22 firmware on it - i dont have access to the waveform/voltage settings through the web gui
