Re: Different IP address when pinged

This is why I like to use a router firmware that supports no-ip.com or what ever Dynamic DNS forwarding company I want to use. No need to have 3rd party programs in my PC(s) keeping track of the address my ISP provides me.

My router takes care of all of the notifying when any IP changes take place. The URL just keeps on working after a change as the router notifies the DNS provider of the new IP and they take care of the rest. I frankly don't know or care what my actual inbound IP address is since I only use the URL and possibly a port number to make inbound calls to devices.
