[IE] upgrading to IE10 on Win7 (64bit)

I know, I'm running a dinosaur browser in that I still use IE7. I was thinking of moving to IE10 on both my desktop and laptop and wonder: can I back out of IE10 if for some reason I have problems with it? It looks like IE10 hooks tightly into the OS so what happens if I want to uninstall it?

Any advice?
TIA,
s.

Thanks for the responses. One other question: do you think I should install IE9 first, and then IE10, or do you think it is ok to go directly from IE7-->IE10?
