Re: X1 Upgrades EGeek- Thanks. Yeah. 2 weeks with it now. I LOVE IT.
It really is an amazing interface and makes watching TV much more enjoyable. They nailed it with this thing.
Most of all, love the new On Demand layout, how fast it is - and that you can now 4x FF while watching something.
Also, PQ seems to be more sharp w/ the X1 as well. I know it has better processors, but maybe it's just my imagination. LOL. -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |

 | I got the X1 for a week now. Might have to replace the box. The caller id pops up for the last customer and ids are still linked to that customer for facebook and pandora. The technicians have not been able to do anything. |
|
 | Wouldn't all that be stored on the account so if you swap out the equipment it'd load up on whatever connects to it? |

1 edit | X1 Billing with XF Complete Triple Play So today I see I got my first billing statement since I upgraded to the Complete Triple Play package. Was shocked to see I was being billed separately for the X1 DVR and 2 additional HD boxes. Called customer service this morning and was told that because the X1 is not an anyroom DVR compatible box Xfinity is within their rights to charge me the additional $8.00 DVR service fee as well as $9.95 each for my two additional HD boxes. I even went as far as to read line by line what my package covers according to my bill with the representative (pointing out Anyroom DVR service or DVR service as well as up to 3 additional outlets) with no such luck. Emailed comcast_cares shortly thereafter and will see what I am told when they call.
Love the X1 but not sure if it's worth paying an extra $27.90 a month for.
*EDIT* So turns out that I will have to pay the extra $27.90 a month to keep the X1 service if I were to keep the Complete Triple Play bundle. Will now be looking at other Triple Play packages. Xfinity was nice enough to offer a $27.90 credit for this month's bill for the rep not explaining that the X1 is not eligible for inclusion in the Complete package. |

| reply to S10driver35 S10- Since I worked with the Escalations team to finally get my X1 box, I was informed of what you just went through - that since I was in an Anyroom Triple Play - I would have to pay an extra $20/mo for the X1 boxes.
I figure i'll buy 1 less bottle of vodka every month..LOL. -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |

|
 | From what I read and posted on the X1 thread, there may be new X1 or X2 or X3 hardware that will bring anyroom functionality, and not the current X1 hardware that is out, I think. |

We know for sure that it will have multi-room functionality via the IP client boxes called XI3. They may also update the X1 software to support more traditional cables boxes that are MoCA enabled too. |
|
 | The one thing I miss with having the X1 box is being able to set a reminder to watch a program (which obviously I could just use the DVR to record).
Has anyone ever had the issue with setting a one-time recording where if you use the episode recording options to extend the start or end time by 1 or 2 minutes that the box doesn't accept the recording modification the first time? The last couple of times I've modified my recordings in this manner I've had to go back in and extend the time as for whatever reason the box doesn't take it on my first request. |

Re: [X1] Xfinity X1 now available to New Customers in Philly! Do you guys also have the Shazam feature as seen in the first photo gallery on theverge? »www.theverge.com/2012/5/21/30339···ial-apps
Looks like there is a shazam icon in the dvr transport controls. They used it to identify a song playing on MTV Jams.
Any project dayview features yet? What about home security integration? Anything unique in particular to caller ID or voice mail? Some of the images at the verge show the ability to playback voice mail through the TV and also voice to text translation. |

Nice find, I just checked, and not here That's a pretty cool feature but I guess I can just continue using Shazaam on my smartphone until it comes out, assuming it will be released. Maybe they were using an older preview build and later decided to scrap the feature? Who knows. Also playback of voice mail through the TV would be awesome! Hell we can already do it on the smartphone/ipod/computer/phone why not the TV as well lol |

I remember on my old box, browsing and finding shows through ON Demand honestly felt like a chore. Now it's so fun with the cover art and all and most of all, it's so quick! I click the show and it instantly starts playing. My Picture quality also seems sharper. God I fkin love this box!!! |

Re: [X1] Xfinity X1 now available to New Customers in Philly! Cypher- The Project Dayview features are integrated into the Screen saver. Frankly, it's beautiful.
Say, you start the Pandora app - walk away - 5 minutes later the Screen saver starts up with beautiful pictures - and all of the apps show up in random corners of the screen and fade away.
I love it. -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |

 | reply to gate1975mlm Oh so you do have some resemblance of Project Dayview? But seeing that its screen saver triggered, its not an actual interactive application yet?
Cover art for VOD / PPV purchases are a no brainier. DirecTV noticed a big uptake in PPV purchases when they released their HD UI. People like pictures. It's easier to see and the cover art really catches the eye. Comcast will likely see increased sales as well. That should be incentive to get this product out there and make it the standard interface throughout all of it's systems. |

| Dayview |
Cypher- Here's a pic of what it looked like when I first noticed it a few weeks ago. I had posted it on Instagram and my buddy that's a Product Mgr up in Philly for Comcast goes - "hey, that's an awesome shot of Project Dayview". Once the screensaver kicks in (which is set right now for 5 minutes - but you can change the settings), this happens.
I had launched the Pandora app on our living room TV - walked away - came back in a bit later and saw this.
Mini versions of the apps fade in and out in all corners of the screen. As you see, the weather one is on this shot. It'll fade out, a sports score will fade in to another corner, then traffic, news, and so on. It's really cool in my opinion.
However - I haven't really looked, but I'm not sure if there's a way to directly "launch" Dayview... -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |
