cable28- anyway to get a higher upload speed?

i can't use DSL (cancelling my phone line to voip).

so cable seems to be the only way to go.
is there any possibility to get a big higher upload speed than 1Mbps in the near future?

just curious..

28 Mbps down and 1Mbps just don't seem to mash well

Short version:

Depends on the CRTC. A decision on this could be any day now, or could be sometime in January.

If the CRTC comes down against Rogers (hopefully!), I'm not sure how long it would take for the speeds to make it through to Teksavvy and other cable wholesalers.
