| [Cable] Randomly High Ping? On Cable in mississauga.
I get a randomly high ping from time to time and then it quiet. sometimes early in the morning, sometimes late at night. seems to be at any time of the day.

I have a monitor pinging google every 10 minutes or so:

I have tried resetting modem as well.
My network traffic is low to none....
Any ideas? |

| Ahh. shoot. Going to answer my own question.
It turns out my router was CPU-bound. The firmware I have on it doesn't like Upnp. Its a known issue causing high load. I usually have it off but had to turn it on for COD3... I have since used port forwarding but forgot to turn it off.
I'll monitor but it seems like we are doing good now. Thanks. |
