Despite using Flash 11.5.502.135 Firefox says it's outdated.

I just updated to to 11.5.502.135 when prompted by »www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ to do so.

Now it still says it's outdated calling it 11.5 r502 even though when I check on: »www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ it says I have the 11.5.502.135 which is the latest version.

So who is right and who is wrong? Because normally I've never seen any kind of discrepancy like this.

Did you remove the previous version first, or did you do an upgrade?

I ask as there was one time that I did an upgrade, and it did not fully take. Adobe even said I was running the old version, when in fact I had manually downloaded and ran the EXE myself.

I went ahead and removed my current version, used the same EXE that I had downloaded, and then all was well.

After the first time it did not work, I uninstalled the flash plug in from CCleaner and then reinstalled the flash plug in. Still saying I have the most recent version on the Adobe site but not on the Firefox Plugin check, well I think it's saying I have the most recent version there also, it's just saying it's out of date.

After you try updating let me know if it says the same thing for you and if not, maybe we can find out what's wrong.

Well, I went ahead and downloaded the EXE's directly from this webpage

https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

I had version 11.5.502.110 installed, so I did an upgrade to version 11.5.502.135.

The same thing happened with me. Adobe says I'm running .135 however, the plug-in check for Waterfox says I'm running an outdated version.

So, I uninstalled flash, and did a clean install. Same thing. Adobe says all is good, and the plug-in check says old version.

I'm thinking its an issue on the plug-in check site, because if you look at the plug-in directly (see pic) the version is .135.

Yup, you are running the same version as me and getting the same error, I think I can assume unless we are both having the same issue that it's just the plug in check site that's wrong.

Thanks for helping me out, now I don't have to be paranoid about it. Unless of course a third person comes in and says they don't have that issue. Then if that's the case we will have to figure out what went wrong for us.

hi, i have this error on the ff plugincheck site also.
and it tooks some seconds also to load the page. so i think many users have this issue.

but of course its uncool to see the picture saying update it.

to be sure just disable the plugin and chec tomorrow. then im close to sure its fixed on the ff checksite.

PS thanks to google bots who bring me to other ppl with the issue
cheers

Wanted to add that it is working for me as well.

However, I noticed that there is a new version of Java out!

However, when I go to the Java page, it still shows Update 7 Release 9 as the "current" version to download.

The fun never ends!

Funny, I got 1.7.0_10 via Synaptic Package Manager, but if I go to the plugin check page, it kept giving me an error and wouldn't display the page. Maybe Mozillas in the middle of fixing it or something.

Where did you download V7U10 from? My normal download links, as well as the page on Java's page that check to see what version you are on, all point back to V7U9 as being the "current" version of Java.

There's a thread over in the security forum that talks about this version, and I've updated that one to include what I'm seeing.
