reinstate/reactivate XM service info request

After paying a recurring charge for months of service in a vehicle which was unable to start I finally called to cancel my subscription last month. Even though I wasn't able to drive it the satellite reception was curiously uninterrupted.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a newer car and had all the radio/satellite equipment uninstalled/re-installed in the new ride. Now I find myself really missing the Bob Edwards show and a few, (very) few other favorite stations.

Maybe my radio ID finally showed up on their radar---the continued XM reception didn't last long after that as now it's stuck on the preview station.

What I don't wish to do is be held captive again at $16 a month.

What have any of you done in the past to renew a previously cancelled subscription? This inquiring mind would like to know.

Call in and see if you can get the specials. I have heard currently they are $25 for 5-6 months and ~$85 for a year.
