Re: [Cable] POI upgrades completed today

Cool

Will this help with the Sunday night congestion issues?

The only POI where there was issues was St-Laurent. so that should be resolved with this.

You, I believe you're on DSL. We're still waiting on the upgrade for it.

Thanks for the updates and great work! Are you able to provide any details on when upload speeds will be increased?

The Rogers speed bumps are still before the CRTC so nothing yet. A decision will most likely be the first week or so in January, although it could be done before the end of the year.

Interesting that Wolfedale got more room because by coincidence of location I'm one short cable leg to the fibre that heads over to the POI. I don't get more speed since I usually get full speed already but I noticed it is flatter now even on the mobile device via WiFI. So that's good. great.

I am on st laurent POI. Now i am able to download at full speed from my seedbox even during peek time. Thanks Marc !!!

I see all 4 gig link IPs. you guys should probably need to set reverse hostname of 24.52.255.170 to stlaurent4.cable.teksavvy.com, its currently set to 24-52-255-170.cable.teksavvy.com

Richmond POI?! Sweet, I think only St. Laurent was getting upgraded

And just in time too because weekday afternoon slow downs were starting to get worse over the past 2 weeks, but now that I think of it, that could have been related to the upgrades as well..

Awesome!

I'll let the person I know on TSI Cable on St Laurent that their speeds should stabilize again.

Obvious question now born out of curiosity, are there are other links in the pipeline that will be turned up in the new couple of months?

I'm on the St-Laurent POI - I never really notice any congestion, and I'm still on a DOCSIS 2 modem.

Knock on wood, my service has been dead-nuts reliable, except for the time my neighbour ran over the cable pigtail with his lawnmower...

Nice!, I've never had any speed issues at all. Always get around 3.4 meg a second in downloads on Fallowfield. Nice to know it will stay like that for even longer.

Now if those DHCP/POI issues could slow down that would be great.

How about more upload speed for Christmas marc?
