»Netflix Ranks The Best ISPs for Streaming - posted on the home page

After you take out the DSL and cell providers, SL is not looking very good.

Suddenlink was rated at 2.06, and the best non-FTTH was 2.17.

That's barely rounding error.

yeah you're right, silly to think SL would even care about a 4% improvement to their overall network.

For those keeping score at home, Suddenlink moved up 2 spots in the monthly Netflix rankings, and is now 0.1 Mbps away from the top-rated non-FTTH connection.

Great news. In January, Suddenlink moved up 5 more spots and now sits at #3 in Netflix's monthly rankings.

Take a better look at the two rankings and you'll see that they really didn't do much better than the previous ranking. The only reason they went up in ranking was the other companies going down in ranking by a fairly decent margin. Also note that with Google's 1Gb up/down and only being listed as streaming at 3Mb really means that there is an upper limit on Netflix's throughput. As such, all of these companies should actually be a lot closer to Google than they are.

Anyway, not like I'd be able to watch it, considering I've been having between 3% and 50% packet loss for the last few days as well as a right out internet outage for 6 hours earlier...
