WISP or Line of sight

Just about had my fill of Windstream DSL and seriously considering going back to a service I had before, called "line of sight", I guess it is also called wireless or WISP. It seems I had decent luck with it before but found out I could get DSL 1.5 tier, so I made the switch....BAD DECISION, I think. Question is: I can get 3 Mbps for the same as I pay for intermittent 1.5 DSL. What speed can I reasonably expect from 3 Mbps WISP?

Thought you said you had it before?

The biggest limitation to a WISP, is capacity they have a limited frequency band to use. If they can't expanded it and oversell it, things can get slow. WISPs are also likely to have data caps to try and control that.

I did have it before.........It was brand new to my area and the speeds have since change a lot, as well as new users added.
