| Fios with Slingbox 500/HTPC I currently have a Slingbox Pro-HD hooked up to my xbox 360 (which is an extender for my Windows Media Center) which works great for watching Live TV. I would like to get rid of the Xbox 360 and hook up the Slingbox 500 directly to the HTPC. The HTPC has HDMI out (which right now goes to my receiver and then to the TV). I also have Verizon FIOS with a cablecard hooked up to the HTPC.
Can I use the HDMI on the Slingbox 500 to place shift the HTPC and Windows Media Center? I would run the HDMI from the HDMI out on the computer, to the slingbox, to the receiver to the TV.
I don't think copy protection would be a problem since FIOS only blocks premium channels (of which I don't have any). |
