2 Questions on Why Customer Service say different things

Hey there guys been happy camper with fios for 2 months already

my questions are:

I am on Month To Month plan , everytime I call verizon they say they cant move over the 5$ discount coupon on used when i signed up.. even on chat they say same thing but guess what.. I changed my order online and the 5$ coupon moved over to 75/35

now why the heck do they save different things?

2nd question is why it takes 24 hours to change speeds?

To answer your 2nd question, not sure why it takes 24 hours for your speed change to show. I upgraded my package a few months ago, over the phone, and the speed change was almost immediate.

Either:
(a) They don't want to admit that they don't know the answer, so they make something up.
OR
(b) For some reason it's a hassle for them to move it, so they tell you that they can't do it.

Reason (a) is more likely. Customer service everywhere is known for "MSU" - Making Stuff Up.

also there are a lot of places that can't do the online deals over the phone. maybe it's a seperation of systems.

So they may be correct, that they can't do it over the phone.
