Baud1200 posted : Had fun like this a while back.

Working for a small business that had a web hosting company set up, a malicious competitor came in to see the setup pretending to be a customer. He went home that nite and proceed to run any and every script or exploit short of DDOSing the boxes to get them down but there was an firewall up that logged his IP, recorded all of the attempts to exploit; and eventually banned his IP automatically.

He called in first thing next morning, all excited claiming that our servers were down... Was dead silent and then hung up when I explained to him that his IP address was banned due to the exploits he threw at the server the previous night. Never saw or heard from him again. :D

saberon posted : I am one of the admins of a Clan that plays Mohaa/COD/Borderlands 2 etc etc

As of this morning I am unable to go to our website which is:

I am greeted with: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

My 2 home PC's and my Phone on WiFi all give me this error. However when I switch off WiFi on my phone (and use 3G), the site loads just perfectly. I have no restrictions or filters of any kind on my router and have not made any changes to any settings in months. Surfboard 6120+ ASUS N56U, both have been rock solid for over a year.

Am I overlooking something simple? (And yes, I have power cycled everything :))

Thanks
