[WIN7] does not stay in sleep mode

I have a Microsoft mouse 3500 and I turned off wake from sleep feature.

Every time I close the lid and the laptop is in sleep mode, moving the mouse turn it on again. I have already gone into device manager and turned every wake up power management I could find including lan.

What else can I try?

Open Windows command prompt as Administrator, and type:

powerfg lastwake (press Enter)

Windows will then list the event that caused the computer to wake.

Then type the following command:

powerfg -devicedisablewake (exact name as that listed above)

For example, if the last wake was caused by a USB controller, and the above name is as follows, type:

powerfg -devicedisablewake Standard USB Host Controller (Enter)

This action will shut down the event causing the computer to wake from sleep mode. If this advice doesn't fix the problem, then post back. Maybe someone has a better solution.

Thanks for the information.

For reference, the command is powercfg

Use this command to get the correct name for the device
powercfg -DEVICEQUERY wake_armed

Then use
powercfg -devicedisablewake
