[Internet] Usage keeps incurring when my modem has been unplugge

So I was near my Internet limit with a week remaining. So..
I unplugged my modem!

Guess what my internet usage still increased, thru the week of a disconnected modem. Obviously something wrong with this picture.

I don't trust bells usage meters at all now.

The only thing you can do now is change you access password and enter that when you re-plugin the modem. That eliminates anyone else using your login, although that should not be the case.

There is information that you need to be aware.

1. The usage meter does not operate in real time.
2. The delay is not known and posts here seem to suggest that the update is erratic.
3. The subscriber usage may not be updated on the weekend.
4. The usage meter that Bell uses is in all probability not the one used to bill customers.

If you feel that you have a case against Bell and its usage calculation, I would suggest that you post in the Bell Direct Forum here:
