If you enclose your <li> tags in a <ul></ul> pair, then you can remove the list-style-image and insert your own numbering:
- 1. First
- 2. Second
- 3. Third
(Kind of a kludge, but I don't see [yet] whether <ul> here accepts options/parms for doing that; and there's no ordered list support at all apparently.)
