I'm helping a friend of a friend with a little project that involves Shaw cable and I needed some clarification on a few things.
She currently has Coax coming in via wall plate that is split. 1 cable is going into her DCT700 for her Living Room TV, and the other cable is going directly into the back of the TV in her bedroom.
The TV in her bedroom (old CRT) recently blew up so I helped her setup a new HDTV and currently have the 2nd Coax going into the back of it for cable. I ordered her an HD box for that TV but here's the problems....
She lives in a seniors home and insists that her Shaw bill is included in the rent that she pays to live there. Is there anyway I can get her new HD box activated? She swears she doesn't have a bill/account number with Shaw. How do I go about activating this? Do I need permission from the "Landlord" if you will? Does he have to call in to activate her HD box?
Thanks so much, I truly appreciate all the help I've received on this forum!
Support must be contacted, either online or telephone to look-up the account via address, to have th terminal added to the account.
She should have her own account (free billed based on the group account).
Would be a monthly charge if she wanted any channels not included with the group rate, but not full-rate (so that could take a bit of looking for an agent who knows how to properly to set that up if required).
