| [Cable] Looking to upgrade/flash firmware on my SB6121 in Ottawa Hi,
I bought my Motorola Surfboard SB6121 from NewEgg a few months ago but it shipped to me with outdated firmware SB612X-1.0.5.1-SCM00-NOSH. TekSavvy support only just now suggested that the firmware might be causing my consistently poor speeds but I am outside of the return period from NewEgg. Of course, TekSavvy tells me that it is up to Rogers to upgrade the firmware on their network, but Rogers refused their request.
Is there anyone in Ottawa who can help me to flash/upgrade the firmware on my Motorola SB6121 (DOCSIS 3.0) to the newest firmware for the TekSavvy/Rogers cable network?

| I've spoken with TekSavvy tech support on the phone and they told me that Rogers refuses to push firmware updates. I have tried power cycling my modem of course. I am looking for help from someone who can flash the firmware themselves, ideally in the Ottawa area, downtown.

For what it's worth my sb6121 also has 1.0.5.1 and my speed is fine. |

I'm hoping to sort these modems out over the holidays, and should be equipped to reflash them to the supported firmware versions by January. so if you can hold on for just a couple more weeks, you'll have that as an option here in Ottawa.
