ATT being sheisty on upload speeds for ADSL2+

I read in most places that all ADSL2+ are 'up to 1Mbps'. Now that I signed up with Pro (note: on ADSL2+, NOT ADSL), they say it's 512Kbps max. Are they wrong? Or do we have to upgrade to Max w/ receive the (already paltry) 1Mbps?

Thinking I probably should have just hung tight with Comcast.

You should have stuck with cable, do not expect ATT to be fast at anything.

I would not install their xdsl if it was free, its not much better than dialup, and I used to install it.

As shown in the previous chart, the upload speed depends on the internet package. 512Kbps is correct for the Pro package that you selected.

By the way, why did you select Pro, which only has a download speed of 3 mbps?

I read the same, somewhere; but can't find upload details on their "Shop for Internet" site. Here, maybe?

(Okay, so this chart is for VDSL ...)

Are you not close to the DSLAM? 3.0 Mbs speed is the fastest listed for a residence at 9,156 feet from the CO based DSLAM.

Which modem do you have?

When I got UVerse, I frankly didn't pay that much attention to the Upload speeds as I assumed it was a decent speed with my 18 down line.

Then I saw it was 1 up....and I laughed out loud.

I actually called AT&T and asked if they were joking.

Of course, I lived with it and I had no issue living with it since I signed the contract....I just....I still am in shock at how absurdly low it is
